The Iberian deer in the mountains of Seville
The deer stalking season in Andalusia runs from September to February. The most exciting and popular time is the rut, the mating season that takes place between late September and mid-October. During the rut, the males emerge from the thicket, fill the air with their unmistakable bellow, and fight relentlessly to defend their harem: an unparalleled natural spectacle that makes stalking a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Outside of the rutting season, stalking deer is done by lying in wait at crossing points and feeding grounds, allowing hunters to select their trophy with greater ease. The Reina Marín Estate, nestled in the Morón de la Frontera mountain range, offers a landscape of holm oak pastures, Mediterranean scrub, and streams where the Iberian deer thrives in optimal conditions and in complete freedom.

The bellow of the stag in the mountains of Seville
With the arrival of September, the mountains of the Seville range are transformed. The deep bellow of the Iberian red deer breaks the silence of the dehesa and heralds one of the most powerful spectacles that nature has to offer in Spain. Andalusia, along with Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha, is one of the regions with the highest concentration and best quality of red deer in the country.
At Finca Reina Marín, we have made this territory and this hunting tradition the heart of our offering.
